Dobbs 16, the school’s a capella singing group, has been selected as one of only two New York State groups to move on to the Northeast Division Championship of High School A Capella.

The winner of that competition, scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 8:00 PM at the Chevalier Theater in Medford, Massachusetts, will move on
to the national championship which will take place later in the spring in Washington, DC.

At the New York State championship, held on
February 19, 2005 in New York City, the Dobbs 16
performed three of its favorites: "Operator,"
"Ray-o-vation," and "Love is a Good Thing."

Senior Anthony Flammia was recognized as "outstanding vocal percussionist."
