A little rain didn’t dampen
the enthusiasm of the largest enrollment in the School’s
128-year history on September 15, the first day of classes.
All of the 540 students—400 in the Upper School
and 140 students in the Middle School—and 80 faculty
members were dazzled by the newly renovated Masters
Hall classrooms and the thoroughly modernized Pittsburgh
library.

The first day of classes
was preceded by a week-long schedule of pre-season athletic
practices, student leader meetings, barbecues, new student
orientation, parent gatherings, and an exciting freshman-only
rafting expedition on the Delaware River.
