Upper school students gathered in the theatre on January 13 for a serious and thoughtful program that honored Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through original films, extraordinary musical and dance performances, and eloquently spoken words and reflections by students and faculty members. Middle school students also assembled in the Great Hall to honor his memory and vision with a creative program.

This year’s theme, “Community: Let Your Light Shine,” put into perspective Dr. King’s lasting legacy to the world community and the moral standards and values that he set for individuals in “communities” everywhere.

“We are indeed proud of the programs our students presented, which celebrated the life, the spirit, and the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the deep commitment and caring of our diverse Masters School community,” said Dr. Maureen Fonseca, head of school.
