In the hoop finals against second-seeded Loyola on March 9, the boys varsity basketball team drove the ball home to capture the NYSAISAA Class C State Champion title!!

In the first round of the playoffs, the Panthers took on Dalton on March 6, at home in front of a packed gym filled with a cheering, enthusiastic Masters School community. And the team won by a score of 55-50. Boris J. had 17 points in the win.
Next up was the number one seed, Friends Seminary, and in a tight semifinal match-up on Friday, March 7, the Panthers came away victorious by a score of 56-51. Mason L. had 17 points and Alex V. had 16.
Then on Sunday in the championship game, the Panthers really showed their stuff and routed Loyola Prep with a double-digit win 87-62. Boris J. had 24 points, Alex V. had 20, and Mason L. had 16.
Coach Matt Kammrath put the win in perspective: “I think it’s great for the boys and the School to see that when you work hard and put your heart into something you love--whether it’s basketball, math, history, music, drama, whatever--you can accomplish anything!"
