Middle school dancers, actors, and singers had a chance to entertain Masters School students, faculty, and parents at the Middle School Performing Arts Concert that took place on March 9 in the Claudia Boettcher Theatre.
Seventh and eighth grade girls who took Dance as their co-curricular with Dance Director/teacher Becky Timms, presented two lively pieces—a swing dance and a tap dance. Members of the middle school Improvisation Company, under the tutelage of Acting Director/teacher Paul Carlin, showed their creativity in an improv theater session to the delight of the audience. Fifth and sixth grade Masters Singers under the direction of Music Director/teacher Jennifer Carnevale performed “You’re Never Fully Dressed without a Smile” from Annie. And The Octaves, a new cappella group, made their harmonious world debut performance with the tuneful song “Time After Time.”
Special thanks to Doc Wilson, Dr. Nancy Theeman, Katie Meadows, M.A. Haskin, Jeff Carnevale, Jesse Sugermann, Susan Huddleston, Payton Carlin, the entire middle school faculty and, of course, all of the middle school parents and their families!!
