Middle school students beautifully showcased their instrumental and singing talents for parents, friends, and faculty at the Winter Concert held in the Claudia Boettcher Theatre on December 20.

The Middle School Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Nancy Theeman and upper school teacher Tyler DeWitt, opened the program by performing the “Little Suite for Orchestra” and the “Russian Dance” from The Nutcracker.
This was followed by group and individual vocal and instrumental performances under the direction of Jennifer Carnevale, middle school music teacher, and accompanied by music teacher Katherine Meadows. The audience was treated to performances by the fifth and sixth grade choir, seventh grade choir, eighth grade choir, and talented eighth grade soloists.

And in middle school tradition, the MasterSingers, comprised of students from each class, were joined by alumni of the Middle School who are current students in the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades in a moving interpretation of the song, “I Walk in Beauty."
