The Masters School Parent Association
(PA) helps you make connections and guides you in ways
to support the School, offering opportunities to participate
in the school community. When your child enrolls, you
immediately become a member of the PA and are invited
to all social, educational, and fundraising events,
including:
PA General
Meetings and Educational Evenings
At these gatherings parents join with school staff and
panels of experts to discuss issues of vital importance
to you and your child such as parenting, education,
and child development. In past years, for example, we learned
startling facts about teen alcohol/drug abuse and Internet
use and misuse, participated in lively discussions,
and learned where to get additional information and
help if needed.
Parent Jeans
Night
On Jeans Night, parents get together “just for
fun”—but don’t let that simple phrase
fool you: it’s at these parties that new friendships
are made, acquaintances deepened, and insights shared
with parents and staff alike. Just like the kids do
on their “Jeans Days,” we get to wear jeans—or
simply “dress down”—and donate a dollar
to the worthy cause the school supports for that day.
Morning Meetings
These monthly sessions give parents the chance to drop
in for coffee and informal conversation with other parents.
Morning Meetings start at 8:00 am. These “drop-in” events
offer time for parents to catch-up with each other and
events at the school.
Take a look at the PA
calendar for a complete list of this year’s
events. And remember, you’re sure to meet friendly
parents and learn about the school when you volunteer
at The Masters School. There are jobs great and small:
one is sure to fit your talents as well as your time
schedule.
If you have any suggestions, comments,
or questions feel free to contact us today. We look
forward to hearing from you at parentassociation@themastersschool.com.
