Upper School students performed Spring Shorts, featuring three student-directed comedies, before enthusiastic audiences in the Fonseca Center's Experimental Theater on April 27 and 28.
The one-act plays were An Imperfect Metaphor, written by senior Owen Gifford-Smith and directed by junior Leah Cunningham; Juliet and Her Guy Romeo, by playwright Dan Zolidis, directed by junior A.J. Daniels; and Totally Over You, by playwright Mark Ravenhill, directed by senior Laine Philipps. The stage managers were freshman Emma Listokin, senior Claire Fink and freshman Jenny Nykonorova. Claire was also the lighting designer for all three productions. Junior Jake Hoffman helped with the choreography.
This year's Spring Shorts company included over 40 students. For several of them, the event marked their debuts in a Masters theater production, according to Chris Briante, Spring Shorts Supervisor.
